Certified Grief Educator & Grief Companion

"What is Grief? Grief is the internal part of loss, how we feel. The internal work of grief is a process, a journey. It does not end on a certain day or date. It is as individual as each of us. Grief is real because loss is real. Each grief has its own imprint, as distinctive and as unique as the person we lost. The pain of loss is so intense, so heartbreaking, because in loving we deeply connect with another human being, and grief is the reflection of the connection that has been lost." - David Kessler

  • Grief is not meant to be experienced alone and you are not broken.
  • As a Certified Grief Educator, I am committed to providing the highest level of grief support through education, experience, and insights into the often unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief.
  • As a Grief Companion, I offer 1:1 in-person confidential support to help navigate the challenges of grief. Together, we can begin to move forward through your grief, we can reflect and guide you towards creating a life that honours your loved one.
  • I offer a holistic approach for both men and women using companionship and mindfulness practices, while providing a safe space to work through grief, loss and life transitions.

Private Palliative Personal Support

Who benefits from in-home Care?

Someone who:

  • is placed on a long-term care waiting list, but needs assistance now.
  • is fragile and needs support with specific at-risk activities (bathing, transferring, exercising, etc.)
  • suffers from depression and cannot initiate tasks or self care
  • wants to be home at the end of their life and needs support to make that happen
  • personalized care program developed to meet your specific needs
  • assistance with errands and medical appointments

Respite Care

  • Respite Care is nothing complicated - it's simply relief from caregiving duties when you're looking after a loved one who requires frequent, monitored care.
  • Caregivers are often in need of a little time off from their round-the-clock caregiving. That's where respite care comes in. It helps ward off the burnout that can leave caregivers depressed, stressed out and exhausted.
  • Caregivers should never feel guilty about establishing a schedule of respite care. Respite care actually allows you to be a better caregiver because you can take some time to relax and refresh. Caregivers often return from a break, even if it's just two hours to have lunch with a friend, feeling a renewed energy for caregiving.
  • Approach respite care as you would a personal medical issue - you can't take care of anyone else well if you're not taking care of yourself.

Who Needs Respite Care?

  •  Anyone acting as a primary caregiver is in need of and deserves some kind of respite. Caregivers must remember they cannot do the job alone - it's impossible. We are all too aware, loved ones depend on us, and many don't know how or when to take a break.
