Meet RoseAnne
RoseAnne operates her home based business in Mount Forest, ON. She is a private Palliative Personal Support Worker, an End-of-Life Death Doula and a Certified Grief Educator and Grief Doula/Companion. She has been serving Centre Wellington and Wellington North since 2012.
My journey into the health care system began in 2007 when my mom was diagnosed with a life-limited cancer. I struggled to navigate the system while trying to care for my young family, work full time and balance the responsibility for my dying mother. Making decisions on her behalf and feeling like I was jumping hoops just to stay afloat of the next crisis, added another layer of stress to my already exhausted and worn-out soul.
Fast forward to 2011, I made the decision to leave the corporate world to become a PSW, to provide the quality of care I didn't receive for my mom. I didn't want other families to experience the helplessness and confusion I experienced trying to make sense of a broken system. I wanted to provide the highest quality of care, and support other families in helping ease their burden of caring for their loved ones.
My journey has continued along a trajectory of service for those vulnerable and in need of basic human connections. My work as a Palliative PSW allows me to support individuals wanting to stay at home for as long as possible at the end of their lives.
As an End-of-Life Death Doula and Certified Grief Educator & Grief Doula/Companion, I walk clients and their defined families through the emotional journey of an illness or terminal diagnosis. I educate, advocate and empower clients through the difficult conversations about the end-of-life process and death, with the aim of relieving suffering to improve their quality and dignity of living and dying.

In an attempt to build death literacy, I host quarterly gatherings where people join together to share in conversations about issues surrounding life and death. When we can discuss our values and wishes for our end of life, we can get on with living our best lives, intentionally and authentically. Contact me for upcoming dates.
